Purpose of Role:
The Business Architecture is a business support function within SSGM serving as part of the First Line of Defence. This role will help in our ability to achieve our objective of providing GM businesses with a reengineering and controls subject matter expert advisory service. This position provides the opportunity for an individual to work across SSGM’s entire product suite of Foreign Exchange Sales & Trading, Securities Finance, and Portfolio Solutions as well as engage with stakeholders from across the Front, Middle, and Back Office as well as with Second and Third Line functions. Legal entities coverage across SSBT LB, SSB GmbH London Branch, SSEL, and SSGMIL
Individual Accountabilities -
Under general supervision, use project management & process-documentation methodology to increase understanding of processes and controls across the business and corporate partners and ensure processes are documented clearly.
Under general supervision, contribute to a wide variety of initiatives as a dependable and flexible resource.
Under general supervision, work within the scope of established guidelines and practices and consult with senior staff where clarification may be required
Propose changes to the existing structure and operating model to direct manager and/or business unit leadership as appropriate; challenging the status quo, to standardize processes and controls across products and regions and achieve best practices
Contribute to the implementation of change, confirming that remediation steps and corrective action plans from process or control review findings are implemented as agreed
Provide performance feedback to manager and contribute to PPR
Collaborate across SSGM to form partnerships and deliver solutions.
Foster an environment that supports effective team work across organizations.
Respond with answers in a timely manner so that others can then resolve their impacted issues.
Track outstanding issues; be detailed oriented and prioritize effectively.
Maintain and continuously develop knowledge of core products, overall process operating model, financial markets and technologies
Identify and report all risk and compliance issues, breaches and suspicious activities
Act in accordance with Risk Excellence as part of our Way Ahead foundation

Level of Education / Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience with a focus in related field preferred, 1-3 years of related experience with background in organizational design / operations / operational risk / internal audit / consultancy and/or business analysis
