DESCRIPTION OF THE BUSINESS LINE OR DEPARTMENT 
SG Hambros Private bank is engaged in an ambitious migration program to revamp their Information Systems and deploy a state of the art new platform encompassing Front and Back office areas of the bank.
Purpose of the role will be to verify the quality management process for software development at vendor's place. Selected candidate will also be involved to inspect the process and verify the proof of adherence to the process, signoff the code for delivery to SG Hambros.

SUMMARY
Summary of the key purposes of the role 

To assess the quality management process of vendor and spot the gaps in the process. Raise and follow those gaps till closure.
Verify the adherence of software delivery teams to the process. Spot the gas and raise them.
To report to management dashboard of the assurance process, analyse the trends and provide management with information to make proactive, informed decisions.
Interact with vendor teams as needed to achieve the right level of confidence in the vendor delivery.
Previous experience of managing development and quality function in Wealth Management environment / bank is highly desirable. Given the project may already be underway the ability to learn quickly and take responsibility is essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To validate quality assurance process of vendor.
To check the adherence of the vendor development teams to the process
To plan and perform spot /regular checks to check the adherence.
Provide trend analysis of the defects before delivery
Signoff the delivery of release to SGH
Perform defect analysis post release (in UAT / Production) and trace root cause of the defects
Prepare action plan in close co-ordination with vendor to fix the root causes.
Visit the development centre regularly as necessary to perform the job.
Perform all duties in accordance with the principles outlined in the SGPBH Code of Conduct, as well as the policies and procedures relevant to your responsibilities, to ensure that you adhere to a culture that treats clients fairly and focuses on the long term sustainability of client relationships


Profile:

COMPETENCIES AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Individual contributor competencies as defined in the SG Leadership Model
Knowledge and experience of development Management and quality management function within the IT industry.
Previous experience of working as a development team manager (minimum 5 years) and software quality assurance manager (2 years)
Thorough understanding and experience of all phases of the IT development lifecycle and hands on experience on those
Experience of working within and monitoring development of large IT solutions, preferably for banking.
Practical experience of having worked with vendors and management of vendor relationship.
Practical experience of having worked with internal and external development teams.
Practical experience on using Quality control and defect management tools (JIRA / QC etc)
