Role Overview

FireDrake Consulting is looking for a hands-on Digital Banking Product Owner / Manager to join an experienced and fast growing team.  You will own and drive the proposition and delivery for a digital module and be responsible for the business case, working with Business Analysts to prioritise requirements and build a deep understanding of clients’ needs. You will also be responsible for the end-to-end delivery and performance of your module.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to develop a digital product for one of the largest digital corporate banking platforms in the world and work with senior leaders in the financial services industry. The innovations you deliver will have the potential to change to way Banks deliver digital services.

 

You will spend a significant amount of time onsite at client offices. Initially this will be either a Tier 1 or 2 global corporate and investment bank.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and prioritise the product backlog
  • Work with the pod to refine user stories on an ongoing basis
  • Strategically align with other streams within the programme to ensure coordinated delivery of key functionality
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders including senior management on the client side
  • Maintain a strong business case for service modules
  • Drive the end-to-end delivery of key functionality from proposition, requirements gathering to implementation
  • Understand the needs of all stakeholders including clients and users
  • Work closely with Business Analysts, IT, Operations, Legal, Regulatory and Compliance teams
  • Act as a subject matter expert to provide recommendations to senior management and guidance to colleagues to deliver solutions for customers

 

Required skills and experience:

  • Experience working in complex, matrix organisations as an Agile Product Owner / Product Manager
  • Ability to manage large stakeholder group across all levels of an organisation
  • Strong working experience of Agile methodology
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills including presenting complex ideas to all audiences
  • Experience working across many functions including IT, Legal, Compliance and Business

 

Desired skills and experience:

  • Corporate and Institutional banking experience preferred but experience in Retail, Wealth or Asset Management will also be advantageous
  • Working knowledge of Content Management Systems
  • Experience working with Adobe Experience Manager
  • Experience working in a global team
  • Knowledge of business analysis and project management methodology is an advantage including PRINCE2 and Agile
