A leading global asset management firm is seeking a Research Systems Analyst with its Equities COO Team to help support its (1) front office investment teams and (2) reporting, performance, and analytics projects. The applicant should possess strong analytic and data wrangling skills with a passion for details. As part of a team, this individual will need to work with both investment professionals and technologists. An ability to handle multiple project streams at once and a passion for equities and fundamental research are also important.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with over 100 investment professionals worldwide on strategic and tactical valuation projects
  • Partner with analysts, portfolio managers, and the technology organization to design and implement tools that enhance the investing, portfolio construction, and risk management process of Global Equities sector teams.  
  • Innovate and think critically about improving the investment process
  • Measure, analyze, and improve data quality of internal data
  • Build customized analysis that incorporates internal and external data
  • Run daily data quality management processes and reports where appropriate

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, statistics, engineering or related field is required
  • Detail-oriented and naturally inquisitive
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong understanding of financial accounting and equity valuation
  • Advanced skill in Excel/Data Visualization – built-in functions, aggregation, lookups and creating dashboards, Tableau
  • Technical Pluses – SQL, VBA, and Linux/Unix experience, statistics, or data analysis
