Spire Europe Limited is an FCA-authorized firm with its main office in London. The firm engages in proprietary trading over exchanges, MTFs, and other markets in Europe and is affiliated with Tower Research Capital LLC in New York.

 

Responsibilities

As a Software Developer you will help expand our global trading capabilities, contribute to key architectural decisions and mentor teammates. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Optimizing the full trading system application stack from wire to opcode
  • Designing and implementing low-latency trading systems, including price feed and order components
  • Designing and implementing low-latency risk control systems
  • Team-building through mentorship, interviewing and occasional recruiting events

 

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will have a degree in computer science along with:

  • Significant experience building high speed or low-latency solutions in finance, gaming, or hardware development
  • A strong background in data structures, algorithms and object-oriented programming in C++
  • Brilliant problem-solving abilities
  • Strong low-level knowledge of Linux
  • Strong knowledge of Intel CPU architectures and instructions
  • Strong communication skills in English
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Financial experience (preferred)

There is a requirement within this role to be present for market open/the 'early shift', with some flexibility.
