Support the margin operation for US based clients, reporting to the US Head, Margin Operations

Key Roles and Responsibilities

* Ensure all margining procedures locally are executed within local policy and exceptions and issues resolved or escalated.* Ensure policies and procedures are current, relevant and maintained as per company or industry standards.* Key internal stakeholders are satisfied and provide positive feedback.* Assist when needed with training and provide ideas and suggestions to help achieve deal execution.* Ensure that good and positive relationships are maintained with counterparties and associated industry bodies.* Assisting newcomers with training around collateral management using tailored training material and presentations.* Identify and raise any concerns to relevant stakeholders.* Escalate all Non policy issues to the right reporting chain.* Ensure tasks are carried out within policies and procedures avoiding costs due to delays, compensation claims and operational losses.* Escalation to Operational Risk and Credit Risk teams as appropriate and in accordance with defined procedures.

Qualifications and Skills

Required:* Knowledge of Derivatives Markets and/or related products and/or broad general experience of Financial Markets* Knowledge and understanding of Collateral Management, the importance of the function and its life-cycle* Importance of credit and limits, to have an understanding of the consequences if key tasks are not completed* Excellent written and verbal communication skills* Knowledge of operational processes, operational risks and controls* Pays attention to detail, takes initiative to broaden his/her knowledge and demonstrates appropriate financial/analytical skills* Proven ability to support identification of operational risks and to suggest control enhancements* Excellent communication skills to clearly articulate issues and ideas Operations supervisors and management* Sound time management skills to be able to effectively prioritize and multi-task* Proven track record of improving processes and demonstrating successful teamwork* Inquisitive and able to learn quickly * Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines* High level of PC literacy with a strong understanding of Microsoft ProductsDesired:* Algorithmics, Murex CMS or other collateral system* AcadiaSoft* TriOptima TriResolve* SWIFT, SSIs* Tri-Party* Stock Loan and Repo* Knowledge of regulations relating to non-cleared derivatives
