Regional Operations Management and escalation point for margin operations supporting Financial Markets collateralised products.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
* Risk Management - Partner with the regional and group risk management to support requirements of risk and control framework. Provide guidance and advice from a risk and control perspective to ensure risks arising from new products and/or business, migrations, etc. are properly addressed.* Functional Expertise - Leverage deep product knowledge of OTC Derivatives (including Listed/Cleared), Repo, Stock Lending and other Financial Markets products, to ensure smooth day-to-day running of regional function.* People Management- Develop our people and build a resilient and motivated team through career coaching, training, resource planning and recruiting. * Business Partnership - Leverage knowledge of business and clients to build trusting, long-term relationships and manage the delivery of a best of class service.* Strategy - Partner in the definition, execution and review of Margin Operations and wider Financial Markets Strategy to increase scalability, stay ahead of regulatory change and deliver on client and budgetary demands
Qualifications and Skills
Required:* Strong experience in managing daily margin processes including Margin Calls, Eligibility, Optimization, Dispute Management, Settlements, Risk Management, Resource/Capacity Planning, Issue Resolution* Functional Expertise of collateralized Financial Markets products including OTC Derivatives, Cleared and Listed Derivatives, Repo and Stock Loan* Strong knowledge of collateral settlement processes including bilateral and Triparty, cash and non-cash* Strong knowledge of key regulations and developments in the market affecting OTC derivatives* Solid knowledge & experience of a Financial Markets environment* Strong technical skills and pays attention to detail, takes initiative to broaden his/her knowledge and demonstrates appropriate financial/analytical skills* Proven ability to effectively manage operational risks and to develop control enhancements* Excellent communication skills to clearly articulate issues and ideas with different levels across Operations and Business stakeholders* Experience of client on-boarding and testing and analyzing bespoke client requirements* Strong analytical skills with an ability to understand complex workflows, and excellent attention to details* Sound time management skills to be able to effectively prioritize and multi-task* Proven track record of improving processes and demonstrating successful teamwork* Innovative and flexible in coming up with suggestions and ideas * Strong project management skills * Inquisitive and able to learn quickly * Proven experience of developing and managing a teamDesired:* Knowledge of collateral management vendor platforms and industry utilities related to collateral management (e.g. Tri-Party, AcadiaSoft, TriOptima)* Knowledge of stock loan, repo and structured finance* Test management and defect management experience* Experience of Agile analysis & development
