Product Manager

The successful candidate will provide technical knowledge and aptitude combined with strong communication skills. They will also enjoy working with Product Management and Product Development teams to ensure all Product deliverables are on schedule, accurate and of the highest standard.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Product Management in Experian helps the business identify market problems, quantify opportunities, define business requirements for products or product enhancements, manage the product roadmap, define channel strategy and oversee the launch of new solutions. It requires significant internal and external stakeholder and process management skills.

Product Management - General Responsibilities
  • Support internal and external stakeholders in understanding how Experian's products work
  • Assist in new product development activities, including project management working with analytics to deliver the development of both local and globally built products
  • Assist in developing the market strategies and tactical execution plans for a portfolio of products, including pricing to ensure we are profitable across the Australian and New Zealand markets
  • Understand marketing & industry trends, identify new market opportunities, analyse competitor activity and identify, manage all risk related issues
  • Assist in management and prioritisation of enhancements to existing products working with our technology teams leveraging JIRA
  • Create and manage client communications on upcoming product changes
  • Manage documents including version control and uploading to Salesforce and other internal distribution channels
  • Assist in developing reporting suite to monitor the performance of credit services products

Product Marketing, Process & Sales Support
  • Support the internal teams by providing product specific materials and assist in training as required.
  • Provide sales with up to date and accurate PowerPoints and inputs into commercial proposals
  • Tailor product content based on requirements as communicated by the client or sales teams
  • Ensure strong working knowledge of Experian Credit Services business landscape
  • Create and maintain product user guides, PowerPoint presentations, sales training
  • Communicate product features and functionality into various documents for internal review and approval
  • Support legal and compliance review and sign off process as well as customer onboarding process
  • Understand and participate in performance management processes.
  • Actively contribute to a culture where the fair treatment of customers is at the heart of the Experian business. Take personal responsibility to ensure that you adhere to all regulatory requirements and apply appropriate controls in the interests of our customers.
Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications

  • 3-5 years' experience in a product management, project management, or business technology related role, preferably in financial services or within large software provider
  • Tertiary level - could be business, commerce, or other business related fields
