Vendor Management Lead

Our Partner & Vendor Management Office champions all aspects of the partner and vendor engagement lifecycle by supporting the business; providing insights, advice and connecting with other relevant areas of Macquarie. To achieve this, they work with many strategic partners and vendors, presenting both risk and value opportunity for Macquarie. As such, we're searching for a Vendor Manager.
You will be providing insights, analysis and reporting on the strategic partner and vendor portfolio to business stakeholders. With oversight of a vendor portfolio, you'll ensure relevant vendors are managed appropriately, and strive to continuously improve tools and processes. Your role will be a key part in the vendor management community in providing support and advice, including Vendor Risk Management training, as well as wider organisational awareness.
You will have oversight of Statement of Work processes, liaising with our central Sourcing and Vendor Management team, Risk and Legal. You will support the business with framework compliance - profiling, health assessments and action tracking. Assisting operational partner/vendor governance forum setup and facilitation, you will be the conduit to other areas of Macquarie to ensure any vendor risks are addressed or risk accepted.
For success in this role, you'll bring consider the future needs of the business and how the vendor contributes to its strategy. You will bring excellent stakeholder management and facilitation skills and be able to foster two-way dialogue on vendor risk matters so obligations are completed and actions tracked.
Your background in procurement, vendor governance forums and understanding partnership value will be highly regarded. You will initiate productive dialogue, provide feedback, demonstrate empathy and good listening skills.
You will have a highly developed knowledge of current trends/movements in vendor risk management e.g. cyber risk and enjoy working with partners for the additional value and innovation that an external organisation provides. This will be a fast-paced role and will require you to be a self-starter with experience in proactively building a backlog of work and managing execution of activities.
You will also ideally have exposure to working in an Enterprise Agile environment (not essential), excellent problem-solving skills and fantastic relationship and interpersonal skills across various levels within an organisation and with external stakeholders.
