The role holder will undertake complex, sensitive assignments requiring access to confidential business, financial and commercial information. The role encompasses the core pillars of strategy function (strategic review and analysis, strategic planning, strategic alignment, project implementation and change management) across all business lines of ABC.

Job Purpose:

  • To help drive Group Strategy, M&As and Investor Relations
  • To provide analytical support and thought leadership to help MANCOM develop and execute robust inorganic & organic Group strategy plans, Execute M&A transactions, and Communicate with existing and potential investors


Principal Responsibilities, Accountabilities and Deliverables of Role:

  •  Helping business develop strategic plans and assisting with implementation where appropriate
  • Determining and clarifying strategic and operational issues via analyses and interviews
  • Identifying and structuring issues of problems at stake
  • Communicating complex ideas, anticipating potential objections and persuading others, often at senior levels, and other departments to adopt a different point of view
  • Developing financial plans
  • Undertaking market / sector / competitor research
  • Organise and conduct M&A screening 
  • Manage relationships with investment Banks
  • In charge of IR department ( Communication and production of all material regarding investors and shareholders)


Main Contacts:

The VP M&A/Group Strategy’ needs to be able to interact at senior level and present to MANCOM if required. He or she needs to be able to interact with all senior leaders across the bank to help them structure their issues and provide a good leverage for any sort of Strategy, M&A or IR related work. Will handle interactions with relevant advisors on the M&A and IR related work.


Job Requirements:


  • Very good communication and synthesis skills (both written and verbal – PowerPoint proficient)
  • Ability to build a well-structured financial model
  • Good business acumen and Financial Services awareness
  • Native English speaker or very proficient – Arabic a plus

Education / Certifications

  • MBA and/or Masters in finance/economics (CFA a plus)


  • 5-10 years’ experience in Banking and/or consulting
  • M&A experience / Strategy Experience
  • Experience in project management principles and the best practices leading to deliverable products that include briefings and documents
