AVP AML Compliance, Corporate Bank

My Client, a European Corporate Investment Bank is looking for an Assistant Vice President for the AML Team.

Responsibilities
* Acting as the AML Compliance Officer of the bank.
* Acting as member or adviser to the relevant client acceptance and annual review committees.
* Acting as Country SPOC of AML compliance matters with the global AML team.
* Assisting the Country Compliance Officer to establish and deliver the annual Compliance Year Plan.
* Update the compliance monitoring plans and conduct reviews according to the plan.
* Prepare monthly/quarterly Compliance or MIS reports.
* Conduct testing or monitoring of reviews scheduled under RCSA or ELCA in relation to AML/CFT and Corporate Banking.
* Provide advice to all businesses in Hong Kong on the relevant regulatory requirements of anti-money laundering, countering of terrorist financing, and anti-bribery and corruption matters.
* Conduct review and provide advice on new and existing client profiles in line with the bank and regulatory deadline.
* Identify and investigate suspicious transactions and report to the Country Compliance Head.
* Deliver training to all Hong Kong employees in respect of the global and local policies and latest regulatory development.
* Keep abreast of the latest regulatory development of AML, CTF and ABC and where appropriate, update the local policies and procedures and communicate the key changes to relevant parties within the bank.
* Provide advice on the relevant regulatory requirements and where necessary, the industry practice, on new products or business initiatives by Corporate Banking.
* Review the fitness and properness of staff before arranging any licensing applications.

* Develop, maintain, review, and implement global and local policies, procedures and controls to all businesses in Hong Kong.
* Roll out global/local initiatives on compliance related matters.
* Escalate and liaise compliance matters with the global team and report to Country Compliance Head.

Requirements:
* Degree holder in Law, Finance, Accounting or related disciplines.
* Minimum 8 years of compliance/ control / audit experience in corporate banking business with not less than 5 years of experiences in AML/CFT compliance roles.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Good knowledge of local regulatory requirements and industry practices.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Self-drive team player and builder with a strong desire to succeed.
* Strong analytical ability and logical thinking.
* Good spoken and written English.
