Enterprise Data - Majors Technical Account Manager, Hong Kong

We are a service focused team. Building trusted client relationships and customer satisfaction are our highest priority. As the primary technical interface into Bloomberg for our largest and most proficient clients, this role is the trusted adviser they turn to when making major technology and strategic decisions. We form deep, lasting relationships right from a senior level, ensuring we are the technology and data partner they turn to first to advance their business. We keep a keen eye out for opportunities as we advocate for Bloomberg within our clients as well as advocating for our clients within Bloomberg.
We are looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership of complex global relationships, has led a variety of projects, solved process and procedural problems, and understands how to set expectations comfortably. We partner closely with internal sales, product and implementation teams to reach our full commercial potential, and you will have the opportunity to use your industry knowledge and experience to drive positive outcomes across both Bloomberg's business as well as our client's. We'll trust you to focus on the following areas: Account Management:
We'll trust you to take ownership of some of our most critical accounts, providing next-level customer service while attaining a deep and extensive understanding of client's architecture, infrastructure and application environment, and providing technical subject matter expertise across the Enterprise Data product portfolio. You will forge deep relationships across the client's technology teams within both the vertical IT and business silos (Equities, FICC, FX etc.) and horizontal functions (CTO, Architecture, Infrastructure, Sourcing etc.). These relationships as well as your understanding of client's business will be leveraged to build strong partnerships by offering thought leadership and knowledge of industry trends to solve problems and help their business thrive. We host regular technology sessions and service review meetings with our most important clients, while also highlighting use cases for additional Enterprise products and services. Project Management:
Our Technical Account Management team provides project management for product implementations and upgrades, leading virtual teams and leveraging the necessary internal resources to ensure the successful delivery of the agreed solutions and keeping our key clients in the loop through every step of the way. You will need to be comfortable leading internally and being a bridge across multiple teams internally to solve problems and create new opportunities. We will need you to form comprehensive and cohesive plans in collaboration with the client for the integration and support of Bloomberg products and services across APAC, and provide regular reporting both to the client and internally on project status and progression towards key milestones. Pre-Sales:
Building a strong understanding of our clients' businesses as a key strategic partner will lead to opportunities to expand usage of our products and services. You will need to partner closely with internal Sales and Product teams to identify and qualify sales opportunities, while providing input to the Product group on proposed requirements for implementing and supporting new products You'll need to have:
We'd love to see:
- Knowledge of financial market data products, delivery services, APIs and protocol technologies
- Strong relationship skills to build and nurture lasting and trusting bonds between us and our clients
- Excellent communication skills allowing you be clear and direct, and to set and manage expectations with no miscommunication
- Strong project management experience focusing on your ability to communication across all levels of a business
- Experience in delivering best in class service, going above and beyond, and owning/managing issues to completion
- Knowledge of the concepts of market data compliance rules and regulations
If this sounds like you:
- Pre-sales experience, and some commercial awareness
- Broad knowledge and experience of market data tools (e.g. reporting, entitlement and administration systems)
- Awareness of trading applications and systems
