Equity Derivatives Technology - C#/WPF Developer, Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled developer to work on UI projects for trade capture and lifecycle management for equity derivatives. Using C#/.net, the challenge is to deliver a flexible, extendible UI that will leverage Java services to achieve high levels of straight-through-processing and efficiency as part of a wider program to re-engineer the platform.

• Hands on development of new applications and new components of existing systems using C#/WPF.
• Deliver solutions within the strategic application framework.
• Work with the business and quant analysts to understand use cases, functional and non-functional requirements.
• Collaborating with other developers in an agile environment.
• Participation in code reviews and sharing of knowledge with other members of the team.
• Provide a high level of user experience through an innovative and intuitive user interface.
• Ability to operate with minimal supervision, to agreed strategy, facing-off to business (Front Office) users.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
• Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
• Understanding of architecture and design across all systems
• Working proficiency in developmental toolsets
• Knowledge of industry wide technology strategies and best practices
• Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture
• Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages - C#/.net
• Very strong knowledge of WPF and experience in using MVVM or MVPVM
• Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance and software improvement
• Experience of working in financial services with knowledge of derivatives products and lifecycle.
• Strong OO design skills with in-depth knowledge of object modelling and design patterns.
