Your new company
Your new company is a newly set-up insurance firm with the financial support of a large multi-national company. Their business aims to use digital channels to grow their presence in the Hong Kong market.
Your new role
Reporting into the CEO, in your new role, you will be responsible for building and leading the entire finance team. You and your team will be accountable for Financial Reporting, Management Reporting, Regulatory Reporting and Tax. Furthermore, you will assist the company in building and establishing their finance systems and processes. Lastly, you will also be the main point of contact in dealing with external parties such as Investors, Auditors and Regulators.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed, you will need a minimum of 10+ years of finance experience within the insurance industry, significant knowledge in regulatory reporting requirements and be capable of leading IFRS 17 implementation . Candidates with experience in a variety of insurance types (Life, Non-life, Reinsurance) will be welcomed. Candidates must have fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. Candidates do NOT require an Actuary background to be successful in this position.
