Our client is a highly recognisable global top tier Multinational Investment Bank with an established presence in Hong Kong. Due to successful ongoing growth they are now searching for a junior, high-calibre professional to join their industry leading Control team. The successful candidate will be playing a key strategic role in assisting the implementation of control around the firm's electronic trading platform in order to ensure the business is operating at the highest Governance industry standard. You will be responsible for providing ongoing first-rate support to Senior Stakeholders and you will be the Subject Matter Expert in this space.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Compliance, Operational Risk and Controls Offices to deliver action items
  • Provide control of algorithmic trading platform across the Equities Franchise
  • Assist the implementation and oversight of electronic trading platform frameworks, procedures, practices and standards to ensure quality, effective risk management and regulatory compliance
  • Ownership of developer software development lifecycle, relevant policies, procedures, and training
  • Facilitate the communication between internal and external control and regulatory inquiries, including audits and inspections

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in technical development/ IT risk/ compliance/ business analyst/ App support role
  • Extensive knowledge in SQL Queries, programming or scripting will be preferred
  • Experience in electronic trading platforms is a MUST
  • Hands on coding experience is preferred
  • Strong IT skills including audit type workflow tools, databases and web-based applications
  • Good working knowledge of Regional Compliance requirements and risk-based monitoring techniques
  • Understanding of governance, risk management and control frameworks
  • Excellent planning, prioritization and documentation skills are essential
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, self-starter with a drive to deliver high quality monitoring standards
  • A proven track record of quickly acquiring new skills and expertise
  • Good quantitative, qualitative analytical skills and problem-solving skills
  • High level of professional and personal integrity
  • Fluent in English is a MUST
