As a second line of defense operational risk management oversight role for the businesses within the region. Responsible for assisting the Head of Risk in providing leadership and direction to develop, implement and maintain effective risk governance and management practices, and for overseeing operational risk mitigation activities within the businesses. Develop close partnerships and provide valuable collaboration with business and functional leaders to ensure that key risks are properly identified, managed and mitigated promoting a disciplined approach to operational risk management. Facilitate and lead identification, assessment and reporting on Risk and Control Self Assessments (RCSA), including process mapping, identification and assessment of risk, identification of controls, and assessments of control design and effectiveness. Provide second line of defense risk oversight of the Operational risk program, including application of operational risk policies/standards, procedures, strategies, material risks, risk reporting routines and metrics related to the following common risk methodologies. Change Risk Management (including New Product Risk Assessments), Process Risk Control Assessments, Key Risk Indicator Monitoring, Scenario Analysis, Loss Event / Incident Management, Risk Mitigation Strategies. Help drive culture of risk awareness. Lead risk governance activities.
To be considered, you should be a Degree holder with a minimum of 6 years of relevant risk management experience in asset management or insurance industry. Demonstrated Operational Risk knowledge, including tools used to manage Operational Risk Framework. Strong analytical skills and detail-oriented. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Strong verbal and written communication skills
