Job Summary:

The Strategic Channel Development (SCD) Business Analyst will be accountable for supporting business development, project, and ongoing initiatives of existing Manulife distribution partners for all Manulife operating territories in Asia. Acting in either a coordination capacity or in support of SCD performance objectives the SCD Business Analyst will bring competencies in problem solving, statistical analysis, mathematical modeling, and project discipline as required to specific initiatives. The Business Analyst will be required to collaborate with local business management and regional management across multiple functional areas to ensure the optimal achievement of key SCD objectives.


  • Coordinate information and resources to ensure project deliverables are brought in on time, within budget, and aligned with parameters of scope and objectives
  • Responsible for building relationships with Partnership Distribution and Functional staff in numerous countries to ensure expedited access to information and resources in support of SCD objectives
  • Develop and present models and forecasts in support of Sales, Operational, and/or Efficiency opportunities
  • Review and interpret Product, Sales, Operations, and Customer information to contribute fact based results in support of new and existing Distribution relationships
  • Liaison between SCD team members, project sponsor/business owner(s), local and regional management, and other key stakeholder(s), including appropriate communication and reporting formats
  • Act independently or within a team to access and/or procure information/data from reputable third party resources and/or Manulife Partners in support of SCD objectives

  • Degree holder with at least 8-10 years' industry experience in similar roles, preferably with a significant track record in managing Insurance Sales in a Bancassurance Channel
  • Proven record in driving Bancassurance channel initiatives with success implementation
  • Strong analytic mind set with ability to translate from strategy to implementation
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in a regional is highly desired; global role a plus
  • Willingness to work across time zones with global and regional teams
