Responsibilities

  • Report to the department head and develop the Fixed Income trading business of the department
  • Lead the trading team to develop fixed Income investment and trading strategies
  • Actively explore relative values and generate trading ideas from both primary and secondary market  
  • Risk and liquidity management for all the positions and portfolios (including bonds, equities, fund and etc) of the department 
  • Manage trading relationship with counterparties and market participants 
  • Work with Sales in anticipating market demand and developing flow trading opportunities  
  • Work with Structuring to assess risk and hedging solutions for structured products (Fixed income and Equity linked note, TRS, repo and etc)  
  • Develop and implement risk and trading system with Risk and IT
  • Conduct macro and credit analysis, and provide market update to the department

Requirements

  • Quantitative bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification with an excellent academic record 
  • Solid experiences on fixed income trading 
  • Excellent understanding of fixed income market including onshore/offshore bond market (especially China properties, AT1 and LGFV market), cross-border solutions and structured products (CDS, TRS, IRS, FX forward and structured note); experience on equity derivatives is also highly desirable   
  • Superior work ethic and high levels of motivation 
  • Excellent technical, analytical and decision-making skills 
  • Strong risk-oriented mind set 
  • Ability to multi-task & be prepared for a fast-paced dynamic environment  
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and can-do attitude in the approach to the job
