Better requires process discipline and simplification
We'll be looking for you to support our Financial Reporting team to provide services to Western Union's largest regulated entity and other key strategic entities within the Western Union group . You'll be part of a Centre of Excellence operating to tight deadlines and an efficient high performing team . Y ou will be responsible end-to-end for the whole entity - for general ledger, statutory and management accounting, board reporting, as well as regulatory compliance and reporting . You will be responsible for preparing monthly accounts, completing SOX-compliant month end reconciliations, p roviding trend analysis for International Accounting, Finance and Senior Management under USGAAP and IFRS including support ing the year end statutory audit process. You will be required to book general ledger journals plus prepare and file VAT and Tax Returns and other local/regulatory filings and will work towards achieving the expected high performing standards of the team. You will also be expected to actively support local business units and finance department analyzing budget variances .
We need you to be qualified or partly qualified in ACCA/ACA/CIMA/similar with solid experience in General Ledger accounting and financial reporting processes. You will be a structured thinker with attention to detail and excellent communication skills . Strong organizational skills with proven ability to collaborate in a global, matrix environment will make you stand out. For such a detail-driven role, y ou'll be highly motivated with an exceptional desire and drive to succeed in this role. Your ability to work independently and to work to tight deadlines must be at an impeccable standard. Experience with Blackline and/or Oracle preferred.
