IPSI - Production Support Service Desk
Irish Progressive Services International (IPSI) is a member company of the FNZ Group. IPSI have open roles in our existing IT Production Support team where we are looking for a number of people to be a part of a new client-facing Level 1 service that we are building. These are the first in a series of roles that will be part of a transformation of IPSI production support over the long term. The roles will allow the successful candidates to help define and shape the Level 1 role into the future. As the roles are completely new, this is a great opportunity for someone to develop as the role develops over time. IPSI production support have developed a service catalogue of daily activities that will need to be delivered by the new Level 1 service. On a phased basis, the scope of the role will grow. Most of the current daily activities are defined in some form but need to be reviewed and standardised where necessary. Some of the daily activities need refinement and some will be newly defined activities.

The purpose of the role is to deliver pre-existing Level 1 services and system checks to internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will take on increased scope over time. Initially, the Level 1 team will perform the following tasks on a daily basis:
  • Morning file checks
  • Raise Jira's and escalating to level 2 to investigate issue
  • Error reporting and triage
  • Action regular scripted tasks
  • Respond to queries & issues raised by external and internal people
  • Incident management from end to end
  • Internal Reporting involving SLA and KPI reporting
  • Knowledge management Pre-batch tasks


The successful candidate will be exposed to a very wide of technology spanning Microsoft Windows, Server, SQL Server and the full .NET stack to Cloas and mainframe.

Level 1 will be exposed to all parts of IPSI production support with career development to move to a more senior Level 2 role where skills can become more specialised.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience:
  • Experience with Windows (Desktop and/or Server)
  • Knowledge of SQL Server an advantage
  • Awareness of ITIL concepts
  • Knowledge of Cloas an advantage
