IFDS Transfer Agency, Investor & Distributor Services - Vice President
The role will be responsible for driving and leading the activities of the IFDS Transfer Agency Investor and Distributor Services team - with a primary focus on enhancing the client & investor service experience, client relationship management, setting department strategy, change management, resource planning & development and risk reduction.
  • Direct and manage the IFDS Ireland IDS team and continue to build a culture of first class client and investor service delivery across all aspects of IDS with ongoing focus on risk reduction and efficiency.
  • Responsible with your Peer/s for setting and achievement of goals for the IDS group.
  • Exercise concrete oversight within the department and make sound operational decisions.

  • Initiate and oversee tasks within a continuous improvement drive to ensure that the Department is efficient and seen as customer and quality driven

  • Ensure participation in the completion and implementation of department wide projects as required and lead local team initiatives as required.
  • Build and develop a strong client relationship management discipline.
  • Provide leadership and direction to Operational managers. Manage and resolve complex and unusual operational and managerial problems what may be referred to you.
  • Promote the organisation's capabilities to clients and identify additional business opportunities
  • Continually look for opportunities to enhance the client service experience and prevent client issues arising.
  • Foster an environment where procedures and policies are adhered to and procedural changes are introduced to enhance the performance of the group.
  • Ensure that teams are meeting deliverable and provide support to ensure that goals are met.
  • Identify and secure resources required by the IDS department.
  • Actively support the overall organization and Transfer Agency Training Plan
  • Utilise management information to assist in managing both clients and resources
  • Focus on development opportunities for your direct reports and ensure a focus on operational management within the department
  • Using corporate Performance review tools, actively participate in the performance appraisal process and monitor overall timeliness of completion for the entire team with your direct reports
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and with the relevant short, medium and long-term goals, objectives and values of the organization
  • Promote and drive risk awareness, assessment and control within the department.
  • Understand the risk environment within the department and manage appropriately.
  • Ensure the implementation of appropriate procedures to meet internal control and external compliance/regulatory requirements where required.
  • Provide regular feedback to managers and more senior colleagues with regard to status of client relationships.
  • Lead and contribute to operational, client, risk, audit and regulatory meetings as required. Understand the risk environment within the department and manage appropriately

  • Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

  • Excellent administrative organisational and business support skills with the ability to multi-task and to work calmly under pressure.
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office suite including Word Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills
  • Possess excellent organisational planning and co-ordination skills.
  • Ability to work accurately to tight deadlines
  • Proactive and able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Comprehensive procedural technical and product knowledge of the Transfer Agency business is required.
  • Typically candidate will have previous experience in a similar environment including experience in a management capacity.
