Global Risk
Global Risk is a thriving and expert risk management function supporting HSBC globally with all aspects of risk management. The team actively manages a varied and dynamic range of risk types, including security, fraud, information security, contingency, geopolitical, operational, credit, pension, insurance, financial crime and regulatory compliance, market and reputation risks. All parts of the Global Risk team use their skills, insight and integrity to handle established threats and those they see emerging, acting to protect and enable HSBC to deliver sustainable growth.
We are now inviting qualified individuals to join this team in the role of Assistant Manager Risk Reporting and Retail Business Banking (RBB) Analytics .

Principal Accountabilities

  • Responsible for month-end reconciliation and reporting which includes and not limited to Monthly PQR and MAQ deck (Receivables monitoring, Approval Rates, Delinquency tracking, Flow-Rates, Collection performance analysis, NPL, NII, NBD, New Business, etc, Vintage Analysis), Monthly HK reporting (ASP CCR and ASP CRM)
  • Responsible for daily/weekly/monthly dashboard for risk triggering purpose
  • Responsible for provision related reporting, analysis as well as project testing, eg IFRS9, RBB Portfolio MI enhancement etc.
  • Ensure the integrity of the databases are consistent with the group standards and to provide support and management of the database systems in ensuring that they are kept up to the required benchmarks with respect to effective, efficient and accurate delivery of quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • By ensuring that the required returns are prepared in the specified manner and delivered within the deadline set.
  • Promotes a culture of collaboration and teamwork across organizational boundaries; willing to break down functional silos to optimize business results and to facilitate the overall growth
  • Work closely with Policy/Collection/RCS/ASP Risk to analyse/ conduct sampling on any spike in delinquency performance in Retail products or RBB Portfolio.


Qualifications
Requirements
  • Possess an undergraduate or post graduate degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or a related discipline;
  • Understands and anticipates strategic implications from retail risk on current portfolio. A high level of professional competence which helps to determine solutions around retail risk analytics, controls, risk management and quality assurance on data;
  • Knowledge of retail products is a definite advantage;
  • Keep abreast of latest changes in portfolio performance & environment and anticipative of impacts to the Bank;
  • Ability to form effective relationships and achieve influence at the most senior level in the organization. Able to influence without authority;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the capacity to articulate the case for risk management in the language of business;
  • Strong analytical ability to understand and resolve complex issues;
  • Demonstrated ability to assess Risk trends, both internally and externally.
