In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

About the role
Team Manager in the Asset Transfer section managing a team of staff in ensuring accurate and timely processing. The role entails performing verification functions and is expected to effectively handle exceptions and investigation matters. As the team lead of Asset Transfer Team, the incumbent will review work processes and identify areas for improvements, supporting other initiatives and projects of the department as required.

Responsibilities
• Ensure the team support efficient and effectively in all areas of asset transfer
• Verification of team's work and release of clients' instructions to the custodians
• Liaison with RMs/ARMs and custodians on asset transfer issues
• Monitor and ensue all client's request are attended promptly and processed per agreed SLA
• Ensure all transfers instructions are processed in accordance the Bank's operating guidelines and compliance to market requirements
• Exception request are to be duly approved by authorised DOA
• Track, monitor and prompt escalation on issues for management attention and appropriate action
• Periodic SOP updates and perform yearly review
• Guides team and establish processes to manage/mitigate risks and implement sound controls
• Ensure all cash and securities breaks are promptly investigated and follow up
• Participation in UAT and work with project stakeholders in ensuring timely implementation
• Constant review of work process and identify areas for improvement
• Manages the team daily productivity and efficient via the Bank's productivity assisted tools
• Performs other duties that maybe assigned from time to time

Requirements
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Asset Transfers with 3 years of managerial experience leading a team
• Basic knowledge of accounting, payment systems, trade settlement and process re-engineering
• Possess a can-do attitude in face of challenges, passionate in driving changes, can flex between a team player and team leader providing coaching and mentorship to team members
