AVP, Business Analyst - AML/KYC/CDD, Group Compliance

This role is required to support Enterprise KYC (Know Your Customer)/CDD (Customer Due Diligence) and Screening Journey as one of the programs within LCS Strategic Transformation Programmes. The job scope is as follows:

  • Consult with business users and SMEs to identify challenges and enhancements to improve CDD and Screening business processes and to mitigate/reduce risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members (business, platform, analytics, financial crime advisory, transformation, etc) to assess KYC/CDD and Screening policies/standards, business processes, systems, data and identify opportunities to increase efficiencies, effectiveness, and reduce operational risks.
  • Synthesise and accurately document key pieces of information gathered in easily understandable format.
  • Contribute and solicit information from various stakeholders to understand and define detailed requirement specifications/user stories.
  • Manage small initiatives within Enterprise KYC/CDD and Screening program as required.
  • Coordinate user acceptance tests, dress rehearsals and cut-over activities by working closely with technology partners and business users.
  • Lead post-implementation stabilisation activities, if required.
  • Prepare status reports to program manager and stakeholders.
  • Assist in any other relevant tasks critical to successful program execution.

  • Bachelor Degree in any related field.
  • Minimum 7 years' of working experience in AML/KYC/CDD, Name or Payment/Transaction Screening processes and good understanding of the concepts.
  • Experience in business analysis and/or root cause analysis, ideally in the Financial Services industry or in a Compliance or audit function related to AML or KYC/CDD.
  • Basic knowledge of MAS 626 or equivalent AML/CFT regulations and industry practices.
  • Industry certification in AML/CFT (CAMS, ICA, etc) is preferred but is not mandatory.
  • Good skills in Microsoft Office (Power Point) and project management tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence, Octane).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills and can be relied upon to make quick, accurate and precise decisions.
  • Good Relationship-building, conflict resolution and analytical/problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multi-task with some planning skills to effectively manage changing priorities.
  • Ability to interface on a professional level at all times with a variety of different personalities at different levels.
  • Self-motivated and Excellent Team player.
