Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

About this Role

Strategic Planning and Program Management function of Group Technology COO is responsible for strategy development and program management. This role will support the CIO and Tech leaders in developing, framing, and driving the overall tech strategy. This includes working with different stakeholders across the business across geographies to drive strategic initiatives.


Strategic Planning and Analysis
  • Understand and align with the broader strategy for the Bank, business units and support units.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to define and shape short- and long-term priorities and outcomes for Technology.
  • Be plugged-in on emerging market trends and practices, for best-in-class benchmarking.
  • Develop plans based on trends, outside-in and inside-out perspectives to materialise strategies
  • Translate strategy into actions or programs integral to the execution and operationalisation of tech strategy, and track them to fruition.
Articulating the Vision
  • Craft and curate key messages to articulate leadership views to internal and external audiences (e.g. leadership conferences, regulatory reporting, board meetings, etc).
  • Develop and maintain executive presentations, reports, and other related communication materials.
  • Coordinate with key stakeholders across teams to improve alignment and develop joint priorities with technology and business teams for delivery.
Serve as Secretariat of Tech Executive Committee
  • Develop the agenda, organise meeting cadences, and maintain related documentation (e.g. discussion materials, minutes, etc).
  • Support the performance management process by designing and tracking the Technology scorecard.
  • 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in strategic planning.
  • Demonstrated competencies in critical thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to solve complex problems.
  • Ability to summarise and communicate complex topics in a simple and understandable manner for different stakeholders, including senior executives.
  • Strong organizational skills, the ability to perform under pressure and management of multiple priorities with competing demands for resources
  • Proven experience in stakeholder management, and the ability to work effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working in a technology environment, familiarity with complex programs, or experience with agile methodology is highly advantageous.
