Analyst, Equity Research Analyst, Group Research
Business Function DBS Group Research comprises of the Economics/Strategy, Equity and Credit research, as well as the Strategic Projects team. Our Economics team consists of Economists covering currencies, interest rates, and economies of China/Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, India, ASEAN, Eurozone and US. Our Equity research has a network of analysts covering the Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, China, Indonesia, Thailand and Korea stock markets. One distinctive feature is our unrivalled access to a broad range of companies around the region. In Asia, we employ in excess of 60 analysts covering more than 600 stocks. Combining active bottom-up research with sectoral and macro/thematic analysis (in conjunction with Economics and Markets Research), the team has been able to consistently identify moneymaking investment and trading ideas that outperform the rest.
Responsibilities - Performs primary research, keeping abreast of trends in sector and sentiment in the market
- Analyses data to identify emerging opportunities and risks for sector and stocks
- Builds and maintains financial models
- Assists in publishing Company Initiations, Thematic Research Pieces (eg. Sectoral/ Company Specific), Financial Updates (quarterly / semi-annually) and ad hoc reports
- Supports and provides inputs into team publications.
- Drives and supports cross-department collaborative projects
Requirements - Bachelor Degree or above, preferably in Accounting/Finance/Economics or related discipline
- Fresh graduate or candidate with less than 2 years of non-research related experience will also be considered
- Excellent communication, analytical and writings skills, meticulous
- Motivated team player and self-starter. Able to work under pressure with strong interest in investing/ financial markets
