Skillsforce is collaborating with our client in search of the above role.Preferably a Chartered Accountant.

Job Purpose

Lead the financial planning, analysis and reporting process to ensure that the Client’s strategy and operations deliver to its financial expectations. 

Duties & Responsibilities

The key responsibilities shall include :

A) Financial Budgeting and Forecasting

Lead the budgeting and forecasting across all Departments, engaging effectively with the different departments to build the annual budget plan that supports the Client’s strategy and mission
Analyse actuals against budget or forecasts and prepare commentaries to highlight areas for attention for Management and follow through
Actively co-ordinate cross functional meetings to review status of projects/spends by fund types and facilitate necessary actions


B) Financial Reporting

Prepare annual financial statements in compliance with the Client’s Charter and the Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (“FRS”)
Prepare financial analyses to Management and the Governing Board and other reports 
Effectively partner with Finance to deliver optimal financial solutions
Support implementation of SAP upgrade and change management across the Client


C) Risk Management and Control

Lead and drive risk management around financial processes, ensuring that the financial processes are well-controlled and efficient
Follow up on internal and external audits for appropriate remediation by different teams


D) Financial Modelling

Perform financial modelling and data analytics on project basis and make recommendations where appropriate
Review assumptions and track progress to the financial scenarios
Review returns on investments of spends in various channels for optimisation at Management level




Minimum 12 years of relevant working experience with at least 3 years of FP&A exposure and Chartered Accountant accreditation
Exposure in public sectors is an added advantage
Working knowledge of SAP Financial system
Experience in managing multiple priorities and stakeholders in a culturally diverse environment.
Demonstrate constructive business partnering at work and attention to detail
An effective coach, strong at developing teamwork and competencies
Proven analytical, organizational, writing and communication skills.



3 Absolute Must-Have Skillsets

FRS Accounting knowledge and good foundation of internal control framework
Experience in leading the budgeting process and facilitating resource allocation discussions
Solid analytical and communication skills
Competent in leading change management and project implementation


Must-Have soft/technical skills

Fund accounting
Strong interpersonal skills
Working knowledge of SAP and Excel
