HO and MAS reporting, ensuring compliance with HO and MAS regulatory requirements and overall consolidation of statutory returns under core insurance systems.
Ensure actuarial adjustments are put through on timely basis.
Provision of information to HOD/actuary to facilitate MAS stress testing and actuarial reserving exercises
Reporting of surveys to regulatory bodies
Investment reporting, analysis and monitoring
Settlement of reinsurance accounts
Ensure smooth closing of Oracle/Core insurance systems on monthly basis.
Month-end reconciliation between sub-ledger and GL control accounts
Assist in the implementation and monitoring of financial and internal controls
Assist in supervision of finance staff
Undertake any other duties as may be assigned
Degree in Accounting
Good written and verbal communication skills
Good analytical skills
Adequate knowledge of insurance laws/guidelines and International Financial Reporting Standards
Good appreciation of financial accounting/internal controls
Working experience in general insurance or accounting firm
