About the Department The
Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. We work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Singapore and overseas branches.
Job Responsibilities - Support the organization in developing, operating and managing large and sophisticated enterprise distributed opensystem environments, with a primary focus of VMware, Red Hat Linux, AIX and Solaris systems.
- Supporting IBM GPFS, Veritas cluster, PowerHA System Mirror and Solaris Cluster
- Supporting Redhat Openshift and MQ.
- Ensure system availability, performance & patch compliance in accordance to bank standards
- Resolving complex issues involving: system performance, system capacity, resiliency, stability, replication, and other key aspects of distributed opensystems.
- Act as a player coach for System Administrators.
- Backup & Recovery
- Participate in Disaster Recovery exercise
- Capacity planning
- Define Monitoring / Alert thresholds
- System resource management
- Operating system kernel tuning.
- Automation of system operational tasks.
- Communicate regularly with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure system integrity and security
- Manage the security and disaster recovery.
Job Requirements - Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or equivalent
- More than 8 years' experience in IT Infrastructure operations and System administration.
- Subject Matter Expertise in UNIX and Linux systems.
- Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 Administration (preferred)
- IBM MQ and Redhat Openshift operational experience.
- HPE ProLiant Hardware, IBM Power, Oracle SPARC server hardware experience.
- Professional understanding of vSphere networking
- Professional understanding of SAN Storage and Networking technologies
- Good understanding of large data center facilities operation
- Experience in Hyper Converge Infrastructure.
- Strong in Infrastructure Automation
- Strong awareness and sensitivity of the priority in maintaining full compliance with IT security and operation standards
- Highly organized, motivated and able to meet deadlines
- Customer focus and result oriented
- Ability to work under pressure with demanding objectives/timelines
- Ability to reflect proactively and take feedback positively
- Strong team player under a diverse workforce cultural backgrounds
- Able to work off hour and weekend support when required
