Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble, and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage most of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.
As the Technical Developer for Marketing Experimentation and Gamification, you will be responsible for driving the technical implementation of our marketing experiments and gamification initiatives. Your primary focus will be on developing and maintaining the technological infrastructure required for effective marketing campaigns, including designing and building scalable systems, integrating third-party tools and platforms, and ensuring seamless data flow and analytics. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, and analytics, to translate business objectives into actionable technical solutions. Responsibilities
- Lead the technical development and implementation of marketing experiments and gamification strategies to enhance user engagement and drive business results.
- Design and build scalable and robust systems to support marketing campaigns, ensuring high performance, reliability, and security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business goals, translate them into technical requirements, and deliver innovative solutions.
- Integrate and optimize third-party tools and platforms to enhance marketing capabilities and streamline data flow and analytics.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive data infrastructure to enable accurate tracking, reporting, and analysis of marketing experiments and gamification campaigns.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices related to marketing experimentation, gamification, and data analysis.
- Work with Digi and Delivery to conduct thorough testing and quality assurance of developed systems to ensure optimal performance and user experience.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members and business stakeholders, fostering a collaborative and learning-oriented environment.
- Monitor and analyse key performance metrics and provide insights and recommendations to improve marketing strategies and initiatives.
- Continuously evaluate and optimize the effectiveness and efficiency of marketing experimentation and gamification processes and workflows.
- Able to translate business needs into technical specifications and user stories.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of system requirements, workflows, and user interfaces.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a senior developer in a marketing, digital, or software development environment.
- Solid understanding of backend technologies and frameworks, such as Node.js, Python, or Ruby on Rails.
- Experience with data integration and analytics tools, such as Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, or similar platforms.
- Experience with database technologies for data storage and retrieval, such as MongoDB and MariaDB.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms like AWS, Azure, OpenShift, Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF).
- Demonstrate ability to design and build scalable and secure systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think strategically and implement creative technical solutions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of marketing principles, experimentation methodologies, and gamification strategies is a plus.
