The candidate will be a member of the Business Projects and Solutions Team, which manages and delivers the business project portfolio to support the Bank’s growth strategy in Asia. Key features of the role and responsibilities include project management, business analysis, requirements engineering and change management. The Business Project Manager works closely aligned with the IT Project Manager to deliver projects end-to-end.


Project Scoping

  • Partner with Business Sponsors to evaluate project requests for the respective functions
  • Define project scope and key deliverables
  • Provide timeline and budget estimates; prepare business case
  • Set up project governance and project team

Project Delivery

  • Establish project plan, identify key milestones, critical path and dependencies
  • Examine project progress and maintain project plan
  • Identify, track and resolve risks and issues that may arise during the lifecycle of the project; proactively propose mitigating actions 
  • Lead requirements gathering phase and delivery signed off BRD
  • Ensures that all deliverables are provided on-time and on-quality by institutionalizing appropriate QA checks
  • Direct the preparation and execution of test strategy, test scenarios and test cases
  • Coordinate preparation and execution of User Acceptance Testing and User sign-off
  • Issue regular & accurate project status reports and institute progress meetings to keep stakeholders informed
  • Track project cost and resources vs. budget

Change Management and Communications

  • Manage interactions and communication with stakeholders
  • Work with Business Sponsor to ensure operational readiness of business after project go-live
  • Design and execute training plan
  • Communicate key changes and workarounds to clients and users



Professional and Technical

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in banking, preferably private banking and/or asset management
  • Through understanding of private banking value chain and investment products
  • Good understanding of business processes, process design, and process re-engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of project management and delivery experience, whereof a significant part as Business Project Lead
  • Good understanding of Business project life cycle in addition to System Development Life Cycle
  • In-house or external consulting experience would be an advantage
  • Certification in Project Management (PMP) would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology and experience of partnering with IT in Scrum model would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of software quality process would be an advantage
  • Familiarity with T24 would be an advantage
