Role Responsibilities
Role Purpose & Responsibilities
  • Digital channels data analytics is a strategic unit in CCIB that creates differentiated connectivity solutions for clients to efficiently and securely the Bank's transactional services in over 50 markets. This includes internet and mobile banking for global business clients, direct integration options, as well as services through third party platforms and partnerships.
  • The role would be suited to a candidate experienced as Chief Product Owner responsible for the Straight2Bank Access Channel.
  • The role is responsible for the Straight2Bank Access H2H (Host to Host) client connectivity solutions.
  • The role is responsible for CCS "common channel services" which provide data and functionality to all the digital channels (API, H2H, Web, Mobile, etc.) in an omni channel delivery model.
  • Establish a shared service delivery model that aligns to both product verticals in Transaction Banking & Financial Markets as well and digital channel consumers.
  • The role requires ability to manage multiple squads (up to 10) and prioritise a book of work across a diverse set of stakeholder demand, make critical trade-offs, address risks while still progressing and transforming the overall capability.
  • Proven track record in building and deploying financial services solutions in Transaction Banking and Financial markets creating significant value and overall service for customers.
  • Working with both a strategic and a tactical focus, the suitable candidate will be responsible for delivery of a significant investment in enhancing our clients' digital experience. The candidate shall determine priorities, manage deliveries, structure solutions, prioritise product developments base on client requirements and achieve agreed client outcomes.
  • The role requires close partnership with Transaction Banking and Financial Markets businesses to deliver for clients. Other key stakeholders include Implementation teams, Technology, and risk owners such as market risk, operation risk, credit risk, legal and compliance.
  • The candidate should have a good understanding of a cross-border, FX and payments ecosystem to be able to proactively identify product and process improvement opportunities to bring value to clients.
  • Deeply experienced in non-interactive channels such as H2H and API and corporate / FI to bank connectivity.
  • Expert in banking file formats / standards (ISO20022, MT etc.)
  • Strong understanding of technical connectivity supporting large corporate clients and third-party platforms.
  • Experienced in dealing with direct integration to ERP and TMS platforms.
  • Strong understanding of security models used in non-interactive channels and associated information and cyber security risk policies.
  • Track record in attracting and developing talent and managing large technically minded teams effectively.
  • This role reports to the MD & Global Head of Open Banking Ecosystem.
Key Accountabilities
  • Build a product roadmap for the Host to Host and Common Channel Services capability which balances client demand, product improvement, risk, and regulatory requirements.
  • Able to proactively identify and express client needs related to H2H connectivity.
  • Set priorities and communicate them effectively to stakeholders.
  • Deliver large strategic transformation programs such as ISO20022.
  • Manage risks associated with the channel, write up risk reports, be accountable and build clear remediation plans.
  • Responsible for on-going client interactions and communication to effectively manage upgrades and risk remediation programs.
  • Organisational readiness for new service rollout including training, process guides and securing necessary stakeholder approvals.
  • Launch key enhancements, including post implementation tracking of anticipated benefits.
  • Quantitative and qualitative analysis, management reporting.
  • Managing risks and regulatory issues associated with flows in digital platforms.
  • Product capabilities information to be kept up-to-date and professionally documented for both internal and external audience, thus ensuring the available features and services are correctly commercialised.
  • Support pre-sales / partner engineering for third party platforms and ensure successful integration.
  • Contribute with expertise to various team and Bank change initiatives.
  • Provide continuous feedback to business development teams of emerging trends in the market and client needs for product evolution
  • Conduct regular business review meetings with business development team periodically to ensure on-going product satisfaction and usage, introduce new features, cross-sell capabilities, and build client loyalty
Processes
  • Ensure proper check and balance in place according to laid down departmental operation instruction (DOI) when applicable, Control Sample Testing (CST) plans to minimize operational risk
People & Talent
  • Manage and lead a team of product owners - as a people leader you will empower, manage, coach and mentor the team - holding team members accountable for strong performance management practices.
  • Work closely with the stream leads and execute the end-to-end product delivery lifecycle covering conceptualization, business requirements, product solutions, meticulous quality checks, deployment and eventually, the customer migration phases of the revamped platform.
  • Build strong engagement with business stakeholders across product, sales and coverage to effectively communicate the strategic vision for digital channels, including becoming an evangelist to internal teams to further drive the adoption of igital solutions in Cash, Trade and Financial Markets
Risk Management

  • Interpret and align with regulatory requirements for electronic channels, closely work with Compliance and Technology in terms of internet security, sanction check and prevention of money laundering
  • Ensure adherence to Product Governance and Operational Risk Framework and all relevant policies and procedures
  • Ensure proper check and balance in place according to laid down departmental operation instruction (DOI) when applicable, Control Sample Testing (CST) plans to minimize operational risk
Regulatory & Business Conduct

  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Master's degree or equivalent.
  • 15 + Years of experience across FX, Payments, Trade Finance and H2H/non-interactive product management expertise
  • Experience working on the edge of business & technology and creating leading edge products & solutions
  • Strong stakeholder management and inter-personal skills to actively engage with cross-cultural teams across the globe.
  • Proven track record in building professional relationships across and outside a complex matrixed organisation.
  • Understanding of digital channels, API/H2H solutions, mobile technology including the features / benefits of the products and services offered, and how those features benefit customer
  • Prior experience and training in agile development methodology is essential.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity, managing through change and making decisions.
  • Experienced in conceptualising and articulating sustainable and cost-efficient business solutions. Analytical, critical, and creative problem-solving skills with an in-depth understanding of utilizing digital solutions to meet business goals in better ways.
  • Effective and persuasive communication with experience in presenting to clients, delivering training courses, co-creation sessions, and to senior stakeholders.
  • Able to produce quality documentation which may include management reporting, client-facing materials and business requirements requiring attention to detail and ability to articulate without ambiguity
Role Specific Technical Competencies

  • Host to Host - Detailed understanding of banking messaging standards (ISO20022, SWIFT, MT, MX etc.) and compliance requirements such as payment transparency.
  • Delivery management - Experienced in delivering complex software products requiring multiple systems and teams to achieve and end to end customer journey and/or outcome.
  • Corporate Banking - core knowledge in corporate & institutional banking business and core product capabilities across cash management, trade, and financial markets.
  • Payments Standards - Deep understanding of the payments industry, digitization trends and standards which are driving innovation and change.
  • Agile Product Management - Experienced in agile product management and working methods.
  • Digital Technology - Technically competent in terminology, taxonomy and associated technology, industry standards and trends.
  • People leader - Experienced in leading teams of senior product owners responsible for delivering components of the portfolio.
