Cocoa Procurement Lead - SG

Responsibilities:

Buying beans

1. Free to buy (Buying plan)
   1. Prepare/update buying plan based on stock, contracted arrivals & bean blend (scope -execution)
   2. Buying plan to meet following targets - availability of right blend with the factory, availability of sufficient beans to grind in line with financial grind/press plan, procured blend to meet differential & yield targets or should meet the budgeted margins, & procurement plan should minimize carry(financial + physical), double handling (scope -execution)

1. Supplier relation (Bid, offer, market info, Contract, Fixations)
   1. Collect quotes from existing set of suppliers that comprises of international trade houses & local FOB sellers (scope -execution)
   2. Search for new suppliers/origins to procure - liaise in vendor onboarding (scope -execution)
   3. Deal confirmation with suppliers based on their acceptance of our bid or our acceptance of their offer (T&C w.r.t Price, quality, packaging, payment, insurance etc. should be agreed at the time of deal confirmations (scope -execution)
   4. Contract confirmations - Enter contracts in pluto and SAP, print contracts, send copy to suppliers, and get countersigned copy from supplier back for record (scope -execution)
   5. Fixations - Do price fixations with suppliers AA or at market based on mutual agreement (scope -execution)
   6. Shipping Instructions - Instruct logistics to send SI as soon as contract is entered (scope -Monitoring)
   7. Shipment declarations - Monitor contract fulfilment, timely reminder to suppliers in case of drags, imposition of penalty after reviewing specific cases of drags (scope-execution)
   8. Payments - Monitor payments, help suppliers with payment status (scope -monitoring)
   9. Quality - Monitor incoming quality, send quality claims, settle quality claims with supplier, instruct finance to issue debit note and realize quality claim gain (scope-execution)
   10. Insurance - Monitor damage beans, monitor reporting to insurance, monitor status of claims closure (scope - monitoring)

1. Futures Trading
   1. Understanding hedging and how to work futures - has worked in an environment where futures hedging is used
   2. Knowledge of arbitrage between London and NY terminal month
   3. Structure movement between various terminal months and managing structure efficiently
   4. Making risk report for Indonesia

Background

• MBA/Post graduate Degree
• Experience commodity procurement, trading and risk management
• Strong research, analytical and reporting skills
• Strong verbal and oral communication skills
