The candidate will be a member of the Business Transformation Team of one of our key banking clients and will manage and deliver the business project portfolio to support the Bank's growth strategy in Asia. Together with partners from business, IT and other strategic programmes, the unit within the Bank delivers improved client experience, operating efficiency and flexibility through the harmonisation of processing platforms. The unit supports the coordination and alignment of all divisional roadmaps with the goal to have one consolidated transformation agenda, which is directly linked to the Bank's overall strategy.
Key expectations from the role include deep knowledge of the private banking industry, strong understanding of industry trends especially in CRM/KYC space, possess experience in client risk rating for KYC and periodic review, good view of new technology trends in private banking CRM/KYC, relevant experience as CRM/KYC product owner and strong stakeholder management skills.

Role Responsibilities:
Product Ownership
  • Primary liaison with business leads, Front-Office, Compliance, IT, back-office and other stakeholders, both in Asia and globally, to drive the value proposition, strategic, tactical and regulatory roadmaps in Asia for the CRM/KYC platform as one of the Product Owners in that space
  • Define scope, priorities and key deliverables (both CtB and RtB)
  • Business accountability for change aspects of the CRM/Onboarding platform
  • Ensure the platform is strategic whenever possible with an eye on future macro-developments
  • Establish roadmaps for Asia, identify key milestones, critical path and dependencies
  • Manage & prioritize sprint teams' backlog, track progress of deliverables
  • Track total cost of ownership of platforms, as well as actuals vs budget
  • Provide timeline and budget estimates; prepare business case
  • Coordinate dependencies with other Asia and global domains
  • Provide direction and guidance to the overall vision of the product
Delivery Management
  • Independently manage multiple initiatives
  • Design strategic or tactical solutions by aligning with business, operational & IT teams and align them to help reach management decision
  • Set up project governance, working groups, squads, project teams and lead and manage the delivery
  • Establish project plan, identify key milestones, critical path and dependencies
  • Identify, track and resolve risks & issues that may arise, proactively propose mitigating actions
  • Ensure that deliverables are provided on-time and with quality
  • Examine project progress, maintain project plan and issue regular project status report
  • Track project cost and resources vs. budget
  • Ensure operational readiness of business after project go-live
Change Management and Communication
  • Support the Bank's transformation agenda by running or supporting the implementation, communication and training
  • Overall Change Management and Communication for CRM/KYC
  • Manage interactions and communication with stakeholders
  • Design and execute training, communication, change impact assessment and overall change management plan for CRM/KYC domain working closely with the Change Management team of BT Asia
  • Communicate key changes and workarounds to end users and impacted stakeholders effectively and well in time
  • Continuous communication for effective stakeholder management
Regulatory Responsibilities &/OR Risk Management
  • Demonstrate appropriate values and behaviours including but not limited to standards on honesty and integrity, due care and diligence, fair dealing (treating customers fairly), management of conflicts of interest, competence and continuous development, adequate risk management and compliance with applicable laws and regulations

Skills and Experience:
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience as Product Owner in Banking or Consulting with specific focus on private banking
  • Possess experience in client risk rating for KYC and periodic review
  • Thorough understanding of private banking value chain with special focus on KYC and client on-boarding related processes; key focus is on business understanding of CRM/KYC space
  • High proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel; well-developed presentation (PPT) skills is expected
  • Excellent analytical, creative and problem solving skills as well as attention to detail
  • Knowledge of AGILE is expected
  • Excellent communication skills: formal and informal, one to one, one to many and across all organizational levels
  • Align with Head Office counterparts to drive global CRM/KYC initiatives in Asia
  • Good organizational and planning skills to ensure work is appropriately prioritized and completed
  • Self-motivated to work on own and as part of a team
  • Good Interpersonal skills across all levels in the organisation. Excellent communication (verbal, written, listening) skills
  • Successful team player in a rapidly changing environment
  • Able to juggle priorities and can concentrate on several areas of work at one time
