Job Description
Set priorities and lead the Customer Due Diligence team to support the Corporate Banking Business Units' objectives, while promoting robust AML/CFT/Sanctions controls and awareness and through strong and transparent communication.
To say abreast of the business environment and capable of identifying emerging risks.
Be the subject matter expert to the relevant stakeholders for AML/CFT/Sanctions advisory.
Provide feedback on relevant policies and procedures, including reinforcing them the relevant stakeholders when necessary.
Drive new ways of working and behaviour to increase productivity and/or eliminate redundant processes or procedures in the CDD team.
Ensure standardization and optimization of AML/CFT/Sanctions processes and controls across the Corporate Banking Business Units to strengthen the first line of defence, where appropriate.
Appropriate escalation of any control gaps, policy deviations, exceptions and issues to the relevant stakeholders for resolution.
To identify and work with the analytics team/IT on digital initiatives and system automation to increase operational efficiencies, where applicable.
Handling of audit related matters to ensure timely responses/action taken for all queries and remediation requirements.
Creating an environment for open dialogue with team members and to support the development of his/her teams to provide their best through constant and constructive feedback.

Qualifications Requirements
Minimally 8 years of relevant experience in the banking industry
Any relevant degree
ACAMs or similar qualifications would be an advantage
Experience in handling KYC periodic reviews for Corporate Customers
Proactive individual with good interpersonal skills
Sound knowledge and understanding of the relevant regulatory requirements
