Job Description
Morgan McKinley is working in partnership with a FinTech client, specialising in cross-border Trade Financing for SME clients

Role & Responsibilities:

• Establish and Monitor Credit Risk Framework: Collaborate with the team to establish and continually monitor the overall credit risk management framework, ensuring excellence in risk performance.
• Credit Underwriting: Underwrite the risk of Asian suppliers and international buyers, and continuously enhance underwriting quality and efficiency by utilizing technology tools, alternative data, and innovative methodologies.
• Credit Risk Management: Actively manage credit risk exposure within the designated portfolio by performing risk assessments on counterparties. Execute risk mitigation solutions aligned with the company's risk appetite and credit policy, enabling business growth.
• Data Enrichment: Identify and explore external data sources in various regions, with a particular focus on India, Bangladesh, Vietnam, and others, to enrich our underwriting and rating models.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with external stakeholders, including funding partners and insurers, to secure buy-in for our risk framework, ensuring a smooth asset distribution process.
• Risk Reporting: Deliver high-quality risk reporting at both portfolio and country levels. Additionally, complete ad hoc projects in specific areas or countries as needed.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals and objectives.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in statistics, mathematics, computer science, economics, or related fields.
• Minimum of 10 years of credit underwriting or risk strategy experience in a trade finance institution or fintech organization.
• Experience in cross-border receivable finance, factoring, credit insurance, supply chain solutions, SME coverage, or relevant domain expertise is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a structured approach to analysis and solutions.
• Self-driven and resilient, capable of working effectively under pressure.
• Fast learner with a team-oriented mindset, adaptable to a multi-cultural environment.
