This role is part of the Global Credit Risk IT team which is responsible for the overall integrity of systems and solutions. As the key representative in Singapore, you will collaborate with the business and external teams at various levels. The team is being realigned to strengthen functional and technical capabilities in a DevOps environment - you build it, you run it.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Relationships: You will act as the main interface for all facets of IT for Credit Risk in the region. Internal IT relationships are equally as relevant. As well as having relationships for your own service, you will connect with other projects in service of the wider IT agenda.

Technology: Our team is supported by an architecture function which will help agree the most suitable technology and operating model choices. We drive re-use of technology, choosing bp’s common platforms wherever possible and promoting business process consolidation. We drive automation of business and IT processes in order to improve productivity.

Leading change: Our IT Services provide an efficient and effective lifecycle from inception through to retirement. If demand for products is growing, then you are part of building the case for investment to support the demand. Where an opportunity is seen to change, eliminate or merge services, you will help to drive those changes actively, doing the right thing for bp.

  • Analyse, design, develop, maintain, debug, test .Net Web API, Angular 2/Typescript/Javascript/Html5/CSS software and enterprise service solutions to requirements.
  • Create and maintain SQL queries.
  • Provide business support for production systems including analysis and troubleshooting of problems.
  • Interact with internal/external team members and business users throughout the application life cycle.
  • Manage builds and migrations between various staging environments.
  • Monitor and maintain application security and integrity.
  • Change management processes.
  • Assist in identifying project risks and mitigation plans to ensure proper delivery of the project.
  • Assist in scope management and escalation of issues.
  • Document and provide knowledge transition to backup team members.
  • Communicate project status and identify technical risks.

ESSENTIAL
Two of the following:

  • Experience in an IT operations team – responsible for delivering reliable and commercially efficient operations.
  • Experience in an IT business interface role – successfully balancing business demands with enterprise drivers, being the face of IT to the business.
  • Experience in IT projects – experience with change and release management and project development lifecycle.

Plus:

  • Experience with reporting visualization tool such as Power BI Excel in SQL.
  • Create and maintain SQL queries.
  • Agile software development and DevOps experience. 
  • Familiar with DevOps tools.
  • Experience with large-scale enterprise wide IT environments containing multiple technologies, servers and logical environments.
  • Be highly analytical – solving problems, able to absorb large amounts of detail and see the big picture.
  • Be able to resolve conflicting ideas and demands to provide clarity.
  • Good communicator.
  • Be self-motivated – able to work with little supervision and able to pick up new or unfamiliar concepts quickly.
