Job Responsibilities
- Work with stakeholders to design, develop, and modify data infrastructure to facilitate the processes of data analysis and reporting
- Ensure accuracy and quality of data
- Develop and implement standards of operation in handling, maintaining and archiving data
- Maintain data management plans and instructions for operating business systems
- Work with IT on integration of new technologies and initiatives into data standards and structures
- Propose/Evaluate/Develop the design, selection and implementation of database and/or changes through understanding business requirements and design documents
- Assess system performance and make recommendations for hardware, software and data storage improvements as applicable
- Ensure data and information security by working within the firm’s information security framework and data protection risk policies.
- Other ad hoc duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- A candidate who has experience with database design and systems, database technology, and/or logical data analysis preferred
- Ability to analyse, interpret and organize large amounts of data
- Good communication skills to translate complex problems using non-technical terms
- Basic understanding of modern database and information technologies
- Ability to compile and organize findings and data retrieved in a presentable format
- Thorough understanding of management and data administration duties such as collection, analysis and distribution
- Strong math, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Good time management skills and ability to work towards meeting multiple deadlines simultaneously
- At least three years of working experience in data management, data analysis, or other data administration functions including collection and distribution
- Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or additional training in Linux configuration, SQL database, Perl, Python and other data management applications
