This is a highly visible position within the Group Strategic Investment team to support the Group’s inorganic growth. You will assist with the strategic review and manage the assessment and execution of corporate actions and mergers and acquisitions transactions, manage the execution of transaction activities including but not limited to strategy review, transaction structuring, feasibility studies & pricing, due diligence, negotiation with counter-parties on key terms, legal documentation review, financing and regulatory and internal approvals as well as conducting regular reviews and internal updates of peers and potential strategic investment opportunities globally.
You will be co-ordinating discussions with investment banks and brokers and maintaining pipeline of opportunities globally, liaise with both external consultants and internal departments as part of supporting the transaction activities to enhance value, optimise exit options, manage legal positions/obligations and ensure tax efficiencies. You will independently conduct company research and valuation, compile financial data, develop financial models, perform financial and operational analysis and prepare presentation materials for discussions/presentation to senior management & Board.
You will provide timely capital market developments (M&A, IPO) updates in the relevant industry globally and undertake other ad hoc responsibilities such as strategic analysis and co-ordination on corporate initiatives etc. As a senior member of the team, you will also provide guidance to juniors on company analysis, valuation and financial modelling.
Requirements:
You are Degree qualified in Accountancy, Finance or equivalent from a reputable education institution. CFA or other equivalent additional qualifications such as a MBA/Masters are viewed favourably.
You have about 10 years of relevant experience in major corporates, investment banks, or investment related firms with coverage in real estate highly preferred.
You have strong business acumen and experience, across from origination of deals to execution, including negotiation, financial modelling etc. You have a proven track record in executing transactions, including M&A, acquisitions, divestments, restructuring, or other relevant corporate actions, across multiple/international geographies. You possess excellent interpersonal and communications skills in engaging senior leaders and stakeholders.
