ED, Head of Sales and Governance, DBS Globesend

Your mission is to make Globesend become the preferred choice of cross-border payments for individuals and SME globally. As Head of Sales and Governance, you will play a pivotal role in driving aggressive growth for Globesend through new client acquisition. You will build a high performing team that leverages both digital and direst sales channels that will help in developing and executing strategic sales plans to achieve our ambitious revenue targets.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to acquire new clients to Globesend product, in line with the overall business objectives and targets.
  • Establish, grow, and manage a team of direct sales teams (agency/third party contract) and ensure their continuous development, motivation, and performance.
  • Identify, cultivate, and maintain strong relationship with key clients and partners, negotiate complex deals, and help close sales where needed to achieve revenue targets.
  • Use a data driven approach and return on investment mindset to evaluate, execute and monitor go to market strategy from a client acquisition point of view and ensure that the resources are adequately utilised.
  • Stay up to date with market research, analyse industry trends, and identify opportunities for growth and expansion by helping define ideal customer profile and asses new/additional verticals for new business generation and continued expansion.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as digital platform, technology, product development, marketing, and operations, to ensure a seamless customer onboarding and usage experience.
  • Monitor sales activities and performance metrics and provide thought leadership and guidance on sales strategies and industry best practices and execute on them.
  • Ensure sales governance policies and procedures are compliance with regulatory requirements and bank's policies.
  • Provide training and support to sales teams on governance policies, procedures, and compliance requirements to foster a culture of accountability and integrity.

Qualifications:
  • 15+ years of experience in sales management and business development, specifically dealing with both outsourced and inhouse sales teams and agents.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and proven track record of success in developing and executing sales strategies and exceeding targets.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in Payments Industry/Banking/Fintech is a must.
  • Experience in Cross Border payments Industry in Fintech or Banking is a Plus.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively with external clients as well as internal stakeholders. Must possess intense customer focus.
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results through influence and negotiation.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong business mindset, coupled with hands-on experience in successfully managing various types of client sourcing models and channels across multiple geographies and a proven track record of successfully leveraging digital applications for onboarding SME and individual customers at scale.
