As an integral member of the regional finance team, the candidate will be required to support the Group CFO's overall vision and strategy and the Asia finance, accounting and tax functions.

Our client is a private equity fund and a market leader in the fields it specializes in with operations spanning across many countries.

Description

* Oversight of all corporate accounting with respect to the management companies, investment vehicles and all other related companies. This entails being directly accountable to the Group CFO for all financial and management reporting, audits, budgeting and forecasting, cashflow analysis and management, and tax filings/reporting/compliance

* Responsible for managing the information flow, relationship and work product of the outsourced accounting administrator and assessing their performance periodically

* Assist with the review of and preparation of monthly (management companies) and quarterly (investment vehicles) financial results to the Group CFO

* Manage the accounts payable and staff expense claim processes

* Review the monthly, quarterly and annual accounts of all related entities and ensure all transactions are captured and coded correctly in accordance with company policies, Singaporean GAAP and/or IFRS

* Produce Group wide weekly cashflows and projections across the management companies, investment vehicles and other related companies

* Review quarterly GST returns with the assistance of outsourced accounting administrator

* Implementation of new invoice processing, expense claim management, and financial analytical software

* Work with the investment teams on asset fundings and dispositions

* Manage the monthly and quarterly financial close process according to timeframes set

* Oversight of a project to offshore certain processes

* Coordinate, analyse and manage the quarterly valuation process

* Responsible for all financing compliance such as interest payments, refinancing arrangements and anything else required as per debt covenants

* Prepare and submit any corporate income tax filings and Singapore 13R/X tax requirements

* Manage and coordinate the annual audits for all Fund and Holding entities

* Contribute to accounting and tax due diligence prior to investment and post investment review

* Responsible for maintenance, compliance, and reporting of regulatory capital and other statutory requirements in various countries throughout Asia

* Assist in providing any financial information and analysis requested by the business

Profile

* Applicants must be CPA and tertiary qualified and have at least 10 years' work experience in the private equity or funds management sectors

* Independent and critical thinker with strong analytical ability

* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to confidently interact with senior management, external vendors and peers

* Prior experience with system implementations

* Demonstrate an ability to question the norm and always challenge the team to maximize efficiencies

* MUST have strong Excel and Power Point skills and experience with accounting software packages

* Excellent written and oral communication skills (including report writing)

* Strong work ethics

* Highly organised, methodical and efficient

* History of leading and managing a team

* Ability to work independently to achieve optimal results

* Demonstrated stable work history
