About the Department

UOB Private Bank
is dedicated to managing the wealth of high-net-worth individuals with investment assets of $5million and above. Keeping in mind our clients' financial objectives, we provide tailored products and solutions that draw on the Group's comprehensive suite of personal, business and investment services.

We are seeking for a Business Development Manager (BDM) to support UOB Private Bank's (PB) regional expansion and outreach efforts in target markets within Asia in the Family Office segment. The BDM is responsible to embed PB's value proposition and be the regional acquisition lead to identify new Family Office business opportunities.

The BDM will be involved in strategic and tactical planning and positioning of PB's Family Office value proposition and is the 'go-to' person for all UOB PB Family Office related matters for internal and external stakeholders. There will be an emphasis to drive Family Office awareness and help both internal and external stakeholders / clients understand and set up their Family office through UOB Private Bank.

Job Responsibilities
• Responsible to drive new business development activities and to create business and sales marketing plans focusing on the Family Office segment, to achieve business objectives.
• Jointly develop and support strategic projects, together with Family Office specialist team, aimed at shaping UOB PB's Family Office proposition and operating model.
• Be an ambassador for UOB PB, representing the bank and showcasing its value proposition at external client events and internal stakeholder engagements.
• Perform market research and benchmarking, plan prospecting activities and establish referral SOPs.
• Manage key stakeholders in markets and deepen relationships with potential clients and internal stakeholders.
• Develop, manage and analyse acquisition pipelines and contact plan for each prospect to be able to forecast and achieve future growth targets.
• Increase partnerships through strategic alliances with key services providers and stakeholders within the Family Office sphere.
• Work with Group Marketing to raise UOB PB's Family Office brand awareness.
• Take charge of all Family Office Business Development events, activities, communications, collaterals, and post-event tracking of ROI and outcomes.

• Analytical mindset with strong business acumen - able to proficiently understand, structure and articulate complex business concepts and promote UOB PB's unique Family Office proposition and offerings.
• Excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities.
• Stellar stakeholder management - able competently represent UOB PB in engagements with senior UOB stakeholders and with Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) clientele.

Job Requirements
• Must possess at least a Bachelor's degree in finance, marketing, business management or any business-adjacent fields.
• A least 10 years of business development experience within high-net worth sales and acquisition space, and experience in planning and execution of strategic initiatives and marketing plans.
• Wealth Management Institute (WMI) Certificate for Family Advisors' holders preferred.
• Experience working in a Private Banking and/or UHNW environment preferred.
• High competency in both MS Powerpoint and Excel.
