The Role

Directly supporting the portfolio management and trading teams, you will have the opportunity to build expertise across a breadth of markets and financial instruments. Team Responsibilities
Trade Support
o Direct support of the trading, capital markets, quantitative, and fundamental investment teams
o Pre- and post-trade operational controls across multiple asset classes
Stock Loan & Portfolio Financing
o Oversight of the firm's daily locate and financing optimization processes
o Sourcing borrow colour and liquidity for portfolio managers
Operational Risk Management
o Responsibility for the firm's operational risk platform
Process Engineering
o Build new and develop existing processes
Asset Servicing & Capital Markets
o Monitoring of upcoming corporate action events
o Real-time processing of both mandatory and voluntary events
o Researching and summarising key event details and commercial terms for investment teams
o Collection, submission, and tracking of portfolio managers' elections and liabilities
o Coverage of multiple asset types including equity, CFD, options, CDS, and bonds
o Proxy voting
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher with a demonstrated record of academic or professional achievement
- 5-8 years of cross-asset operational experience in Credit, FX, Rates, Options is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyze complex scenarios and think critically
- Intellectually curious with a self-starter mentality, keen attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and an ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic and a sense of personal responsibility
- Technical skills (such as SQL, Python, data analysis, Power BI, or VBA) are beneficial but not pre-requisite as training will be provided
