Start up a new Business Unit focusing on Automation business for the company.

Main Responsibilities: 

  • Define the business strategy for Automation business unit and ensure its implementations within budget and assume full P&L responsibility. This include what technologies to adopt, what market segments to target, what expertise to develop or acquire, GTM plans and winning deals.
  • Drive a team of hardware, firmware and software resources to develop automation solutions.
  • Articulate value proposition of automation and convince internal stakeholders as well as customers to bring sales for the company.
  • Lead, evaluate and analyse current and new markets to ensure growth
  • Responsible for the development of Automation business and the day-to-day decisions to ensure achievements of top and bottom line objectives
  • Achieve operational excellence by designing and implementing processes and practices to support the effective management of the business unit. Identify risk and ensure appropriate strategies are in place.
  • Ensure effective collaboration to all relevant functions to be in line with the company culture and Philosophy
  • Represent the business unit towards external partners
  • Carry out market research to determine size of the market and target segments (phased approach)
  • Work with sales teams to identify cornerstone & potential customers
  • Gather requirements from cornerstone & potential customers
  • Strong understanding of product development life-cycle
  • Determine product specifications/functionalities & timelines for initial and subsequent releases of product/platform
  • Launch product/platform into targeted markets


Skills Required/Desired:

  • University Degree
  • > 15 years of experience in leadership function in the Telecommunication Industry
  • Driven individual with strong business acumen and solid Business Background
  • Good international and cross cultural experience
  • Past experience in one or more of these technologies: ansible, netcracker, Amdocs and contrail
  • Sales experience in large enterprises, data centre or telco service provider
