Infrastructure Engineering Manager An interesting opportunity has opened up for a Infrastructure leader with a strong command of Infrastructure hands-on experience to lead a team of 10 at a global financial institution. This role supports trading systems and hence the candidate will be working in an environment that also interacts with Middleware, Cloud and DevOps technologies.
Responsibilities - Lead Infrastructure projects and ensure server reliability during testing and deployment phases
- Define Infrastructure environment requirements by working closely with Project Managers during design and planning phases
- Ensure any incidents are resolved within appropriate time frames, with regular updates to stakeholders
- Work with developers and ensure deployment process is aligned with the organization's DevOps framework
- Review Infrastructure environment performance continually and suggest server upgrades.
Requirements - At least 8 years of experience handling Unix and Linux server technologies in a Production environment
- Experience working with Middleware such as IBM WebSphere
- Leadership experience as a proven people manager, as you will be leading a team of 10
- Experience with monitoring and ticketing tools such as ServiceNow
- Exposure working on various stages of software development lifecycle for applications running in the server environment
- Experience monitoring and reporting on Infrastructure projects and their status to stakeholders
- Strong communication skills and experience managing third party Technology vendors
- Functional knowledge of trading platforms are an advantage
