My client, a well reputed leading investment management firm is looking for a legal contracting officer to join its legal team.

Legal Contracting Officer

Morgan Mckinley is working in partnership with a leading investment management firm currently looking for a 6-month contractor to join their contracting team responsible for driving and completing contract negotiations with clients. This role is convertible to permanent depending of performance.

Job Description

• Drive the contracting process from initial drafting through negotiation and execution for your portfolio of business
• Manage client business and client expectations throughout the negotiation process
• Facilitate and coordinate with internal partners across functions involved in the contracting process, ensuring their comments flow through to the contract and requisite approvals are obtained
• Identify issues that are disseminated to potentially impacted internal partners for review, discussion, negotiation, and resolution
• Ensure that all completed contractual documentation is properly filed and in compliance with internal procedural and regulatory requirements
• Find opportunities for process and client experience improvements
• Support the sales team with contractual documentation queries
• Participate in Onboarding initiatives including technology and workflow changes

The Successful Applicant

As a successful applicant, you would have the following Skills & Qualifications:

• Confirmed ability to draft and negotiate complex legal contracts
• Ability to perform and deliver high quality legal contracts in a fast-paced environment
• Proven skills in successfully handling contending internal and external demands within compressed timeframes
• Strong communication skills - written and oral
• Comfort in working with multiple systems to track and lead through the contract negotiation lifecycle
• LLB or equivalent experience
