Legal Counsel at Director level with a fund management/PE firm

• Has relevant PE funds structuring, fundraising and investments background. Regulatory and wealth management experience would be a plus but not a must

Our client is a renowned and established investment management firm. It is a highly regarded name that is in the business of investing in PE.

Due to increased business needs, it is now expanding its legal team. It is seeking to hire an experienced legal counsel at the Director level (15 years or more). Reporting to the MD who is the Head of Legal and Compliance, you will work in a lean and collaborative team supporting its private equity investments.

 Requirements:

• Qualified as a lawyer in Singapore, Hong Kong, the UK or other commonwealth jurisdictions
• Possess a good Law degree from a recognized university
• For the director role, require the cand to have min 15 years of exp with strong PE funds structuring, fundraising, and investments background. Regulatory and wealth management experience would be a plus but not a must.
• Open to strong legal cands from private practice with the private equity investment experience
• Has strong technical skills backed by a commercial and pragmatic mindset. Need to demonstrate the ability to think innovatively
• Proactive and innovative
• Hands-on team player with strong people and stakeholder management skills. Also meticulous, detailed, and results-oriented.
• A demonstrated ability to work independently and under pressure on complex  legal and regulatory issues
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, growing, and lean/team-based culture
