Job Responsibilities Job responsibilities Mizuho Bank is seeking an experienced compliance professional to join a newly formed team to manage compliance risk for the Asia-Pacific region. The APAC Compliance Head of Regtech will be responsible for the design, development, delivery and execution of a compliance technology roadmap to support the regional compliance programme. The successful candidate will work closely with the APAC Chief Compliance Officer, in partnership with the APAC Chief Information Office and the APAC Chief Operations Office, to roll out the right compliance technology solutions to meet the needs of the bank.
Key responsibilities•Oversee and provide strategic direction for the design, development, delivery and execution of compliance technology roadmap •Lead efforts to enhance use of compliance technology and automation •Drive regional consistency and minimum standards •Build strong and effective relationships with stakeholders •Provide direction, leadership and guidance to country compliance teams •Attract, develop and retain compliance talent
Job Requirements Knowledge, skills and experience•Bachelor's degree or equivalent •At least 15 years' experience in compliance, legal or other controls related function in the financial services industry •Extensive knowledge and strong expertise in the design and implementation of compliance programmes •Experience with implementation of compliance technology systems and tools •Ability to drive and manage projects •Strong understanding of banking products and services as well as processes •Highly motivated leader and team player •Strong analytical, communication and people skills, ability to lead, influence and collaborate with people across different cultures and backgrounds •Adaptable, resilient and passionate about making a difference •Subject matter expert, experience dealing with complex issues, forward-looking, solutions-oriented, ability to be hands-on
