The Role Responsibilities
Identify new business opportunities for business growth, plan, coordinate the development, maintenance of application systems. Provides product and project oversight, ensures the project is delivered to the agreed scope, time, cost and adheres with governance process giving customer satisfaction as per the agreement with business. Ensures business processes go smoothly, meet client to know the requirements before initiating a project or enhancement, also to collaborate with the customer for understanding the end user perception of the product.
Strategy

Getting requirement from Business and should be convert the requirements into functional specification document and detailed technical specification document. The Candidate should have strong technical and product functional knowledge to arrive technical solution for the business requirement. He should clearly document and explain the solution with Business to get their approval.
Business
  • Opportunities for business growth with the existing systems
  • Coordinate, collaborate with customer for understanding the user requirements thoroughly
  • Execution of business process and ensures they are followed smoothly
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through the deliverables
  • Functional responsibilities:
  • For the designated portfolios, ensure comprehensive and detailed data, business requirements for the implementation of Economic Capital and Basel III Regulatory Capital calculations with respect to data inputs and mapping business rules are aligned with the underlying risk methodologies and regulatory requirements
  • Within the specified scope, ensure integrity and completeness of all data inputs into Economic and Basel III Regulatory Capital engines consistent application of business rules as driven by risk methodologies
  • Provide/Develop business/risk requirements to IT Finance Solutions on business requirements documentation, analysis, specifications, and testing
  • Provide guidance in the testing and development of the Basel III regulatory capital calculation engine within the designated portfolios and risk types support and ongoing maintenance of the engine
  • Deep understanding of system architecture, integration, and software development processes along with experience managing application development in web, client-server and mobile environments
Processes

  • All deliverables should meet SDLC processes and polices and within agreed budget
People & Talent
  • Should conduct regular status call and share status reports with ITO team. Collect requirements JIRA/CR# from business team and analyse it and propose right solution business
  • Identifies and recommends new technology or practices that will add value to the organization in terms of performance and cost
  • Undertakes continuous improvement for the dev practice.
  • Training new staffs

Risk Management
  • Responsibilities relating to identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating risks in the deliverables.
Governance
  • Enhancement of processes for business growth
  • Review of existing processes for adherence with business terms
  • Definition of system process/architecture and alignment with the system procurement/governance policies
Regulatory & Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct .
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Lead to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank's Conduct Principles : Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
Key stakeholders

  • Business, Architect, Development, Testing, Support & BAU teams
Other Responsibilities
  • Effectively manage multiple stakeholders demands and expectations while maintaining quality and delivery of support operations.
  • Effectively lead small team of development having two or three Jr. resources.
  • Should conduct regular status call and share status reports with ITO team.
  • Collect requirements JIRA/CR# from ITO team and analyse it and propose right solution.
  • Based on requirement, should do proper IA in the existing application.
  • Convert requirements into FSD/TSD
  • Walkthrough FSD & TSD with ITO team and coordinate with the development team till production release.
  • Bring automation in all solutions.
  • Keeps current with new practice and technical developments for potential use as solutions to requirements
  • Thought lead as teams' transition to Agile and Cloud ecospheres
  • Identifies and recommends new technology or practices that will add value to the organization in terms of performance and cost
  • Undertakes continuous improvement for the dev practice.
  • Designing Application Architecture, Data Model, Performing the Data Engineering for multiple applications.
  • Perform High Level Design, Low Level Design, Security Design, DevSecOps for multiple applications
  • Conducting Pilot & Prototype, Pattern Library, Open-Source Enforcement for the technology platform
  • Strategic interface with Operations Team, Routine Interface with Delivery Teams, Audit Interface on need basis
  • Drive Cloud Adoption for multiple applications.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • 10 Years of Technology Experience
  • Have good functional knowledge on Banking/financial services with minimum 5 years of Banking industry experience.
  • Have good knowledge in Industry leading vendor products like Moodys Analytics, Fermat, etc.
  • Good overview of financial performance calculation, risk adjusted performance metrics, etc including assets, liability, contingency volumes specific metrics in such calculations and metric.
  • Have extensive knowledge on Cloud ecosystems like IAAS, PAAS, SAAS in AWS/Azure.
  • Exposure to various cloud service providers like AWS, Azure
  • Have hands on experience on BI Tools like Power BI, Qlikview
  • Have hands on experience on any one RDBMS (MSSQL, DB2, Oracle, etc)
  • Have hands on experience in Hadoop, Hive or HaaS.
  • Have hands on experience in design & implementation of HA environments in Cloud/On-prem.
  • Have hands on experience in Data movement technologies like Solace
  • Have hands on experience in Batch Schedulers like Control-M, Auto sys
  • Have hands on experience in Devops tools like JIRA, Bitbucket, Jenkins
  • Have prior experience in Implementing Moodys Service pack upgrades
  • Should previously have on the ground experience in running a large scale software development, support and Infra teams with handing parallel projects
  • Should have experienced in key dimensions of software development (Architecture, Solution, Development, Testing, Infra Solutioning, IT Costing and Financials)
  • Must also be familiar with a variety of programming languages, Data Warehousing, Data Modelling, ETL Principles, BI Principles, Analytics, Data Principles, Scripting and Automation
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, written, verbal communication skills.
  • Should have done troubleshooting and be able to assess quickly the complex situations
  • To keep up to date with the latest developments in the technology industry
  • Experience in developing and supporting high BC applications
  • Experience in remotely working in occasional unusual hours due to the different time zones
  • Should have experience in collaborating with teams across geography
  • Diligent handling of Ambiguity and Effective Decision Making
