About the Department
The Strategic Communications and Customer Advocacy function works closely with all functions across the Group to protect and to promote the reputation of UOB. Through our thought leadership, stakeholder and community engagement programmes, we ensure that UOB's presence, relevance, insights and understanding are seen and felt by our colleagues and customers, wherever they are. Job Responsibilities

Vendor Management

• Ensure robust processes and protocols for Vendor Management
• Provide strong support for the process and protocols for function's Finance and Vendor Management for the Group. Conduct briefing / training to align with all.
  
• Ensure compliance to the process and protocols for Vendor Management Guidelines
  
• Ensure robust processes and protocols for Contract and Vendor Management. M aintain a list approved vendors and a list of ad hoc vendor approvals by team leads to support payment.
  
• Ensure audit findings for Internal audit for Vendor Management and processes.
  
• Ensure invoice payments are supported by contracts and approved before processing.
  

Business Finance Reporting

• Ensure rigor in the management of function Budget and actively review, sort and reconcile monthly division expenses.
  

• E nsure accurate and timely recognition of expenses/monthly division expenses . Proactively m anage expenses and provide monthly detailed expense tracking report Cost Centre to Team Heads.
  
• Provide support in payment processing for function and ensure accurate and timely recognition of expenses/monthly division expenses . Process purchase orders and creation of new vendors timely.
  

• Manage annual fixed assets reporting to Group Finance.
  
• Support the annual budgeting process for function
  
• Strengthen function's invoicing process to ensure compliance to Operational Risk Management guidelines
  

Regional Administrative Support

• Support Regional Office on regular updates with Group and Countries
  
• Coordinate regional requests and ensure timely follow up and responses
  
• Compile regional reports and maintain appropriate filing systems
  
• Assist in coordinating regional meetings
  
• Support in execution of key events for the function
  

Job Requirements

• A diploma/degree holder and 3-5 years' working experience in finance will be advantageous for this role.
  
• Good communication skills - both written and verbal
  
• A keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data
  
• Ability to stick to time constraints
  
• Proficient in usage of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
